JOB SUMMARY OF OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

The Clarity Technical consultant possesses a broad set of technical skills that enables him/her to perform a wide range of technical functions for our customer base. He/she will typically be part of a larger implementation team that includes a Project Manager, Solutions Consultant, and a Functional Consultant - although at times will be assigned to a customer to solve specific technical problems or challenges.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS, KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform installations, upgrades, migrations, and patches of the Clarity software
  
• Configure, develop, test, and deploy Clarity solutions using Clarity’s application toolset, including XML Open Gateway, PowerMods, Xtensible Data Model, Business Process Manager, Clarity Studio, Actuate Developer, and other database and web technologies.
• Write stored procedures against the Clarity database for customer specific functionality
• Conduct performance testing with LoadRunner
• Analyze and solve complex customer issues involving data, hardware, software, and network
• Convert customer business requirements into functional and technical design specifications
• Mentor customers on how to use these Clarity technologies
  
  

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

• Strong knowledge of OS – Windows NT/2000, Sun Solaris 8, and HP-UX 11
  
• Ability to perform software installations on all three platforms
• Ability to create/modify batch files and shell scripts
• Knowledge of general networking and security procedures
• Strong knowledge of databases – Oracle 8.1.7.4 or Oracle 9.2.02, MSSQL Server 2000
• Ability to backup and restore MSSQL databases
• Ability to import and export Oracle databases
• Ability to create and modify database settings
• Ability to write stored procedures
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with PERL, HTML, and XML
• Experience writing reports (Actuate preferred)
• Strong knowledge / experience of performance testing with LoadRunner
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to work in a high stress environment
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Live near a major airport and be willing to travel between 80% to 100%
  

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• 7+ years experience working for top tier management consulting firm (Big 5 preferred) and/or for a top tier software vendor (SAP, PeopleSoft, Siebel, Oracle preferred) performing enterprise application consulting
• 5+ years IT experience, specifically in areas of Strategy & Operations, Program Management Office, or Finance
