PROJECT MANAGER ASSESSMENT

The Xinify PMP Assessment component is to understand how the client currently is performing against industry standards, identify gaps, capture baselines, and create a recommendation & prioritization plan for Implementation.
Assessment:
- Review Organization's Policies, Standards, and Practices identifying current practice and the gaps within the organization measured against best practice
- Document current practices and perform gap analysis
- Gather baseline measurements to be vetted against after a six month/twelve month implementation.
- Conducting 360-Assessment of PM Competency to determine the level of readiness and current performance on "key skills" required by a Project Manager which includes the following components:
- Interviews are conducted with project team, business and management levels to understand best practices and key areas requiring improvement
- Evaluation of Project Health provides the final information to produce a recommendation and detailed prioritization plan to implement within an organization
Implementation:
- Create a roadmap to outline the implementation strategy plan for improvement.
- Create resource requirements to support the implementation plan.
- Gather requirements for "transformation" projects, including SME knowledge and best practices within organization.
- Provide advice and guidance on creating processes and procedures.
- Design & create/configure templates, reports, tools, documentation, processes & procedures.
- Develop "Clarity" tool improvements and enhancements.
- Create training plan including coaching and mentoring.
- Measure improvements based on baselines from assessment.
With the growing need for PM's some organizations will assign resources that are not skilled as a PM because they need someone to "watch" the project. However, successful PMs must hold soft skills such as leadership, communication and interpersonal skill along with the core project mgmt procedures.
An assessment is not complete unless you can implement change. Xinify's goal is to improve the quality of PM's and utilize the Clarity tool to its maximum potential.
